We also make a hollow 22mm rear bar as well. The front bar is great (but heavy, 27 pounds). But, the rear bar is just way too large. You'll find most folks who like handling to be running around the 21 solid or 22mm hollow rear bars. While the car likes a big front bar to control the weight, roll and camber curve, the rear is lighter and doesn't lose any camber when the car rolls. So making it stiffer than you need to balance the front of the car only serves to make the rear worse on uneven pavement and give issues with powering out of tighter corners. See, a big rear bar tried to lift up on the inside rear tire. That can cause more wheelspin which is caused by less traction. That in turn makes the car more oversteer prone as well.
So, we put a lot of front bar on, and a moderate rear bar.

Does that notion only apply to road racing and autocrossing? In a straight line application you benefit from a larger rear sway correct, if thats the case Id be willing to sacrifice a little of the cornering capability to benefit drag racing.
Also is there any significant benefit from the bars being hollow compared to soild other that just weight, is one stiffer in comparison to the other?

As for the rear. You can get 22mm bars in solid or hollow (Addco and my own made for me by Addco). They are $155 and $189 respectively (hollow rear on sale though Friday for $179). Again, the hollow rear is lighter than an equivilent solid bar by about 5 pounds. You can get a '93 1LE rear bar that's 21mm solid for about $100, but would need urethane bushings and endlinks. By the time you add those in the price is no better than the aftermarket alternatives. BTW, my hollow 22 is meant to mimic the stiffness of the solid 21 bar.

Hollow bars are only slightly less stiff than solid ones. Being torsion bars, they work by twisting and the middle just doesn't move much anyway.
Re: Suspension Techniques 35MM Front 25mm solid swaybars, Who has them???
The ST 35mm bar is hollow correct?? I am looking to get a sway bar here real soon from stranoparts. I also was thinking the suspension techniques. I want the best handling.....i figure i'm going to break into the NHRA rule of needing a roll-cage soon enough and i don't want to put one in, so i midas well go for handling.

The ST bars are SOLID. I would be interested in buying the hollow 22mm bar and then would probably be selling my 25mm solid rear bar
