suspension help

Well i just did a t56 swap and i did a real small launch and the transmission seemed to jump up and down a little bit. I have the crossmember on there good and the torque arm as well as all the bushings. My question is do i need a new torque arm or lower control arms to stop this, it also has some bad well hop to it. Just need some help with it. What do yal think.

Re: suspension help

Stock tranny mount and TA bushings? The TA lifts the tailshaft of the tranny. If you have a limp or broken tranny mount, its going to rise on launch until it hits the floor. A poly mount and TA bushing replacement will help.

With the mod's you've got shown, the stock TA should be OK, but if its moving excessively due to a broken tranny mount, its going to make the wheel hop worse. The LCA's and TA can contribute to the wheel hop, but shouldn't cause excessive movement of the tranny.

Just how far did you see the shifter move up and down? Its normal for it to move a bit.... just not a lot. Hard to quantify.

I only did it once and really didnt look at it good i would have to say it came up about three or four inches and then back down. It is also the stock ta and bushing.
