Suspension Advice...

I picked up 2 years a go a 94 z for 1500$ complete with a blown motor. since then i have been rebuilding the motor (to a 396) and supsnsion. Right now i installed kyb agx's, sportline springs, susp, techniques sway bars, ploy bushings everywhere, Gran sport wheels/tires, all new moog ball joints, tie rod ends etc... i plan to autox and road course it occasionally (no plans for drag strip) but mostly it will be driven on the street. i was wondering if the adj. torque arms, LCAs, pan rod and LCA relocation bracket were worth it in my case??

Panhard rod may be of some use to you, but not much. Torque arm will do little and lower control arms are questionable.

You've got a good start with the sway bars, shocks/springs & poly bushings.

The sportlines don't have enough spring rate and the KYB AGXs are not the best shocks out there. But the best thing to do is go out there and get some races under your belt with your current setup. If you like how the car acts, than stick with that combo. If not, then it is time for some revalved Bilsteins or Koni adjustable shocks along with some linear springs. Good luck.

thaks for the advice, but what springs do you recommend?? i know the kyb's aren't the best, but since my z will mostly be driven on the street, it was hard for me to justify spend the money on the koni DA's that i really wanted.

For auto-X, people have had good luck with the LS1 Eibach Pro-Kit on their LT1 cars, but this is usually when they combine them with Bilstein or Koni shocks. Or if you don't mind spending another couple hundred dollars, you can get the Ground Control Coil-Over kit. The GC is my personal favorite, and if you decide to get them, you tell them what shocks you have and they will be able to recommend you an appropriate spring rate. But again, I don't know anyone who runs the KYB AGXs on their car with the GC coil-over kit. Anyways, my recommandation to you will still be the same. Take your car out to a race, and observe the car's behavior. Then tell us how tha car is behaving, and we should be able to help you out much better. For all I know, the sportlines and the KYB AGXs might turn out to be the best combo ever Also, check out www.frrax.com , that is a website dedicated to F-bodies and suspension stuff. Good luck.

LCA's helped my straight line traction alot! I think it would be benificial, especially for only $120.
