which struts/shocks with sportlines

Hey guys.. I have sportline lowering springs on my 92 Camaro.. Well I took her up yesterday to get the 4 new Falken's put on and two problems came up.. First they had to replace both balljoints before they could align it.. then when he was putting the balljoints in he showed me the front struts are gone.. and not just wore out, I have never seen anything like it.. You can literally grab the rotor and just pull up and down like there isnt anything there at all.. the strut just slides up and down COMPLETELY free.. I am guessing the struts just couldnt handle the springs since they are very firm.. I need to get a set of struts and shocks that can hold up against the lowering springs.. I have heard of re-valved bilstiens but I also know they are extremely expensive.. any other options.. thanks in advance for any help

Ya can't go wrong with Blistien... And for what ya do with the car... they'd be perfect... I had a set on the TA for a while and I really liked them... Then I switched to HAL coil overs... Love them....but go with blisteins....can't beat them with a stick!

Question Re: which struts/shocks with sportlines

Just regular Bilsteins are good or are the re-valved ones the ones to get? Also when it comes to these cars , do the shocks fit 93-03 or are they year specific (like 98-03 only)?.....Thanks-
