I think you guys are getting off topic a bit. A rubber line has a shelf life or recommended replacement time. So does a teflon lined braided ss line. But the braided line is 10x stronger (just a number not going on proven fact) and has a life expectancy 5 times that of a ruber hose.

If your more comfortable with a rubber line then use it. If you prefer the benifits of a braided SS line then spend the $100 and get them. Either way you car will stop eventually.

if you have oil coming out of a rubber hose, its bad. if you have oil comming out of a SS hose, its bad.

Rubber hoses can collapse and cause a blockage, SS lines do not.

Rubber hoses do not withstand the same temps and pressures that a SS hose does.

You make the call if its worth the $100 to you.
