Squeeky brakes how to fix?
Squeeky brakes how to fix?
Im having a horrible problem with squeeky brakes and just dont know what to do about it. I did the LS1 brake upgrade in front and have Hawks pads on all 4 corners and powerslot rotors in the front with cheaper duralast rotors in the back (i want to switch)..
Squeeks under braking, sounds like all 4 corners and then also if i turn slighly right while driving they start chripin away but if i turn abck to the left a lil they do not squeek at all? any ideas?

Re: Squeeky brakes how to fix?
make sure the pads have slinecers on them. the pads are a fully metalic i believe so they will be more rough on the rotor surface. this usually means more noise. try and heat the brakes up well for a while. don't ride them but go fast 4 or 5 times (60-100mph) in a row and stop rather quickly. simulate some nascar or something fun like that, but sometimes if you wear them in and take a little pad off, it gets better. it sometimes works, but if it doesn't at least you still had fun doing it and you can be impressed with the braking abilities.
