So how common is it for LS1 calipers to seize?

My new to me 99 WS6 car had 1 seized caliper floater bolt on each side. I heated them out and got new ones, (and installed new rotors/pads) which fixed the vibration-it is impossible to get new brackets (even used ones hard to find) so I am wondering why auto parts stores only sell the caliper itself if this is a common problem?

I work at a parts store, never sold one of those or even thought about it. I looked through our catologs and I dont even think I can get one without trying some crazy special order deal. Lube the hell out of it with brake lube/antisieze when your throwin it back together, sounds like a bad install last time.

Yeah that is exactly what I did-I just wondered if it is something that is common or not since both were screwed up, and they are not easy to find in junkyards (not pick n pull type-the expensive they pull it ones) either. The car came from a very wet environment in San Francisco bay area from an owner that had no clue about cars so it must have been poor work by a mechanic and/or the environment.

Its not a common problem, I definitely believe that as mentioned above, the previous install was done incorrectly. Those pins need to be lubed up well before being put back in and it doesn't hurt to check them every so often.
