I have the C5 kit.

Rough dimensions are 13" dia, 1.25" thick. You need special brackets to use them. Search under Bob Bishops C5 Brackets and you will find a huge number of posts.

Re: size of C-5 rotors???

i thought the C5's were an inch bigger than the LS1's and i though the LS1's ran 13in. i'm probably wrong in it though.

Re: size of C-5 rotors???

yeah i got to thinking later and i knew i was wrong. I remember my roommate's 94 cobra had 13in rotors and i couldn't believe they were that big and that they were still bigger than even the LS1 setup. Its funny how Ford put a lot of stopping power on a car that didn't have the power to be fast and GM added power but no stopping power to the LT1.

Re: size of C-5 rotors???

there is another guy that makes the C5 brackets and much cheaper in price. I've never used them though. Although i was planning on gettng them from him when i did C5 brakes but then i got a steal on my LS1 brakes.

Re: size of C-5 rotors???

LG Motorsports also makes C5 adaptor brackets, but they only work on the LS1 spindle, so if you have an LT1 you'd have to get the LS1 front spindles as well. They don't list them on the website, so you have to call about them.

RE AND CHERYL, I noticed that you're running LS1 brakes with C5 rotors, did you have to do anything special to make that work or is it a straight swap. Is it worth the extra inch or so of rotor?

Re: size of C-5 rotors???

I actually just completed the C5 brake install on my 95z and I got my brackets from Haulin-***-motorsports.com . There is some modifying that takes place. You cut the old caliper mounts off with a sawsall and then you need to clearence the back bottom of the bracket for a nut. But my GOD I can stop now. No fade whatsoever.
