Which should I install first: SFC or LCA???

What should I install onto my car first, LCA's or SFC's??? I have both [well, the SFC are in the mail]. I heard there could be some fitting issues if I installed the LCA's first? Or am I wrong?

I'd do the LCA's first since you want to weld the SFC's on the way the car is going to sit with your new LCA's on. If you do it with the stockers on it could sit diffent than with new LCA's.

Where is the install taking place and which did you order? I am yet to see your car man, let me know if you going to be out and about this week.

You should install them together.

Most SFC use the front bolt on the LCA as a mounting bolt. So if you do either first you will be pulling the bolts twice.

Unless yours are weld on.

Here's some pics I took of the car. http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=342657

I ordered boxed BMR SFC's through Thunder Racing. I'm having my mechanic weld them at Ram Tuff Muffler by my house.

It doesn't matter which you do first.

I'm not really sure, I'll have to ask once I actually have the sfc's. But it shouldn't be that much, I go there all the time and they are really fair on prices.

Re: Which should I install first: SFC or LCA???

I did both of mine at the same time. Started with the rear of the LCA's and then set the SFC's up, put the bolt through, then put a engine stand/jack post under the SFC and tacked it in place while sitting on the drive on lift. After that I finished the welding. Man what a difference you feel when you get back into the car. You feel a lot more of the road which kind of sucks, but its worth the structural support you gain. I used to blaze tires off a launch like no tomorrow, but after I did this combo it tamed that problem quite well, i was actually surprised because I didnt think it would help as much as it did. Anyways, do them both at the same time, it just makes good sense.
