Should i do ls1 swap?

My brakes kind of suck even with new ceramic pads. I was wondering if i should do the ls1 swap w/ z rated pads and new brake fluid would i stop a lot better or not?

Will i need a new alignment after?

And has anyone had any trouble getting defective brakes or bent spindles, I am a little worried about having that happen to me.

go for it, they are worlds better.

Yes you'll need an alignment, but you should be able to get it close enough to drive to an alignment shop.

I've heard of getting bad/bent spindles, but make sure you buy it from someone reputable and you shouldnt have any problems.

Re: Should i do ls1 swap?

I agree with 'Bird. I did the swap and the difference is pretty substancial in all conditions. Especially in the rain (the LT1 brakes tend to fade real bad when wet). I did get a bent PS spindle in the kit, but the company i dealt with sent me a good spindle at no extra charge.

Do it with some good pads and you'll be very pleased. One of the best mods for the money. (i paid ~$250 all said and done with new pads)

Re: Should i do ls1 swap?

Would anyone by chance have a how-to thread or Know of one for a complete lt1-ls1 brake upgrade? Much appreciated thanks
