Shock/Spring set-up reccomendations

To start off, I did try searching but there doesn't seem to be anytihng that relates directly to my position. I will try to describe my situation as best as I can.

I have a '96 Camaro SS with the basic suspension upgrades from SLP, which I believe is the larger sway bar. Recently I have added a Hotchkis STB and BMR subframe connectors.

I am more of a drag racer then autocross. In fact, I do not see myself autocrossing at all due to having an automatic. Handling is not much of a concern with me as looks are. I am wanting to lower my car about an inch or a little more and retain about the stock ride quality. One thing that I must say about the subframe connectors is that I feel the road a lot better, which I love. I don't really mind a harsher ride as evident with the SFC's. I will also be in the near future installing Pacesetter longtubes and 17x11 ZR1's with the 50mm offset in the rear.

I do not have a lot of money to spend here. I am looking at buying the Bilstein HD's and this lowering kit from Thunder Racing and combining it with the HD's. What do you guys think would be the best? I have also noticed SLP's kit with the SLP Eibachs and Bilsteins. Some reccomend that kit but it is somewhat pricy at like $600.
