Carpet.

I know they make lightweight carpet. Alternatively, you can just pull out your padding and put the carpet back down. I still have 100% stock carpet in mine, but it is pretty damn heavy, I'll tell you that much.

Also tubular components, such as k-member especially. Check out www.bmrfabrication.com

BMR tubular k-member and A-arms will cut a good amount of weight. So will removing the stock interior seats (front/rear) and adding light plastic racing seats. Switching to a fuel cell with a stripped rear trunk will also save a few pounds. Then there is the slimfast diet.

all carpet with all sound deadning only weighs about 35 lbs.

as said tubular K and lower control arms will save you about 60 lbs I think it was, and hte K member will alow for a much easier long tube install.

unfortunatly I dont know of any other parts that will have a significant difference.

if someone made a lighter crush bumper (or what ever that part that is under the facia with the honeycomb part on its called) that would be nice, cause it weights like 65lbs.

With regard to suspension components, consider the ones made from chrome moly. They will generally weigh 25-35% less than a corresponding mild steel part. Same with a roll bar or cage - chrome moly tubing saves up to 40% of the weight.

As far as the crash pads in the bumpers, don't know about the Z's but on the Formula/TA the front pad with steel support bar is only 19#. Rear pad/support bar is 20#.

Just to be a wiesenheimer and since my front/rear crush supports are removed, I went and weighed the two... Results? The front bracket/cushion wighed 30#'s and the rear 25#'s. I used a fish scale, (don't ask) and both parts. Yes, I bore easily.

I can only tell you what mine weighed on a shipping scale when I removed them.

LG Motorsports makes aluminum double rod-ended LCA's and a matching panhard rod. They are ridiculously light (~2 lbs or so per LCA), yet will stand up to the beating of a World Challenge race. I will be moving up to these once I'm done with the rest of my suspension.
