Screw ABS
Is it possible to completely bypass ABS completely and run soley non-ABS brakes on an ABS equipted car (i wanna remove the ABS unit too). I am having all sorts of brake problems and I just want to get all the stuff out of the way to simplify things.
I just want master to caliper pressure. No ABS to get in the way.
Any way to set this up and/or why it would be a bad idea (and dont give me the saftey issue, non-ABS brakes are 11 billion times better than no brakes I have now)?

You need a proportioning valve for the rears and I would recommend a line lock solenoid for the fronts. Bend 1 line from the master to the proportioning valve - into an adapter. Cut your stock rear brake line and reflare it then screw it into the adapter. Same with the fronts.

BTW - ABS unit weighed in at 18lbs

I was planning on getting a Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve for the rears. The only issue I have is with the front brakes. Would I need to put a splitter as I have 2 lines for the fronts? Where would I get one of those?
I work at an auto parts warehouse so I can get just about any adapter I need (we carry full Edelman parts including unbent brake lines) so I guess I could piece something together.
I can run the lines straight into the master cylinder right? Which ones go where on the master? I assume front for front tires and rear for rears.
The whole ABS stuff just drives me insane and when the brake place quoted me 2k to fix my brakes I just about crapped my pants.

Hey man, thx alot for that link. I just put in an order for their ABS delete + line lock kit just now. $200 for a ready made ABS delete with a wilwood proportioning valve plus a line lock is a hell of a deal. They are really cool guys too. They come highly recomended.

That's the kit that I just installed on CANTONRACER's car. I'm going the same route but picking the parts up local and piecing it together. Good kit - very well designed.

I was gonna do the same thing, but i didnt really see the advantages... even price wise. I can get all the parts (minus aftermarket stuff) for cost because I work in an auto parts warehouse and it still didnt seem to save me more than 20 bucks. Edelman carries all kinds of adapters and brake lines, but it would still require buying a brake line bender and various stuff that adds up.
