rounded off bleed vavle

i rounded off my bleed valve but good. its a perfect circle. tried cutting a slot in the top and using a flat head. still not budging. anyone have any ideas? id really hate to have to replace the caliper for a 10$ bleed valve.

You seem to be good at rounding off bolts Have you tryed vice grips yet?

I was going to say that same thing.... Vice Grips work great for those.

my luck and bolts...grrr.

yes, i tried vice grips...they ripped off the top part of the valve.

they need to make cars with velcro, that way you cant round anything off!!!

well...im pretty effed now. i went back at it with some bigger vice grips..and i ripped the 'nut' part clean off. there is now about 1/4" exposed. i think im gonna have to get a new caliper. well, at least the top part...

Try drilling a hole in it and use an easy out.

It looks like this
You hammer it into the hole and use a rench to twist it out.
