Roll Cage Help

i have a 96 Trans am i have everything out of the car and im buying a 8 point cage here soon, i was wondering if anyone could post pics of where exactly an 8 point would weld up at?< main loop etc.> i realise each car will pry be different but i really have no starting ground to go off of. thanks

8 pt cage or bar? there is a huge differance?

If you download the NHRA rulebook there are specific measurements that need to be done with you in the car, in the seat in your driving position to locate the main hoop, if this is not done correctly not only will you fail inspection you could be injured worse than without the bar/cage.

Otherwise if you use the search function on here there are tons of people who have pictures of their bars/cages.

Go to the Wolfe Race Craft site, and look over the pictures/install of their prefab roll bars for the 4th Gens. They make both bolt-in and weld in. Check the above referenced rule book for weld plate dimensions.
