Rod Ends

Would you notice a noise/ride penalty with a rod end and poly end Panhard Bar? Im looking at the UMI on car adjustable bar but the only thing i dont like is the rod end. Car is just a street car, but ill be lowering it slightly and i have wider rear tires on it, so I want to be able to center the rear properly.

Also, is rod end grease recommended or what?

I just upgraded my poly/poly PHR to a rod end/rod end from UMI. No additional noise at all.

I've got rod end/rod end LCAs and PHB from Spohn...I wasn't thrilled with going this route at first, but I couldn't pass up the deal..Anyway, with Spohn their rod ends are high quality and teflon sealed and require no lube at all...Just wipe them down every so often...The articulation is great with no binding, but I have noticed some occasional "clanking" over bumps...I don't mind...I was getting some pretty good binding from my old Hotchkis stuff that the Spohn stuff replaced...The poly did ride a bit softer, but I like the rod ended stuff now...

I noticed NO increase in noise when I went to a Rod end PHB over the stock unit. But I did notice a bit more noise when I went to Rod end LCA's.
