I Need help
hotcam, 1.6 rrs, 3600 stall, full boltons, lca, and nitto 450's on 16" salad shooters = 2.1 60'.
I know what people are going to say "get better tires", but I have cut 1.89
60' on these tires with a 100 shot minus cam and stall.
I have had a suggestion of redoing front shocks and springs with koni's. Dont understand how this will work?
I know about weigth transfer, but the rubber things over the rear axles hit, therefore Im getting weight transfer but a rubber piece is stopping me from getting more, not the stock springs and shocks.
what to do? torque arm...I thought these only worked under HIGH hp applications, and well I dont have High just about 320 hp 340 tq.
so what are recommendations?

what is your launch technique...are you flashing the converter or stalling it up....some converters like to be flashed while others seem to perform better while stalled....i try adjusting the launch technique see if it nets you anything....also if you say your bottoming the rear out it sounds like your getting too much squat...you want weight transfer, but if it is squating too much your actually lifting the tires up...its the whole equal opposite reaction thing...if the rear goes down the tires come up...you may need a stiffer shock in the rear so you get some anti-squat
Never heard of "anti-squat" thats just weird.
As far as technique, I tried both flashing and stalling. but end the end it came down to once the light turned, I slammed the hammer. I really dont do well at feathering the throttle.
So I guess I need stiffer shocks in the rear?

If I was you I would just get a set of comp engineering rear drag shocks and a drag radial on 2 spare wheels......change em at the track, they will last alot longer like that.
you should be really pleased, the rear should almost not move at all during a launch...you want it stiff to plant the tires to the ground
