Right rear of car sits lower than left rear

I have 75K on my car with the stock suspension. Today I noticed that the rear right of my car sits about 1" lower than the rear left, what causes this? Worn out shocks? Springs? I'm guessing the only thing to fix this is new shocks/springs? Thanks for the help.

I have the same problem, but mine is the drivers side... I think my spring is cracked.

Springs support the car, not the shocks.

Even with new springs & shocks you may still have this.

I have changed springs and shocks, still an inch lower on passenger side.Checked out the frame and diff at gm dealer everything is fine.I guess it's just the way some of them are made.

Just a shot but do you have the spare tire in the rear?

My 94 does the same thing. I even took out the spare (replaced it with fix a flat), replaced the springs and shocks, adjustable panhard rod, still did not correct the problem. If it is the springmount is there a fix? I see alot of F bodies like this.

mine does the same thing. I put in lowering springs and i had to end up getting a aluminum spacer from a local suspension shop to put under one of my coil springs.

Re: Right rear of car sits lower than left rear

I remeber a thread about 2 years ago on this and the consensus was usually right side was about 1/4 to 1 inch lower than the left.... Might be from body flex?????

My 2000 did the same thing. It was off about 5/8". I've got the weight jackers from Ground Control, so I ran the rr up 3/8" and dropped the lr 1/8" to even it out. I left the left side a little high so when I put my fat **** in the seat, it evens out.
