Well, every car I have had has had suspension upgrades starting with the sway bars and shocks.

I am tired of having a car that rolls, so I was wondering what size bar you all are running?

I compensate for them at the track by disconnecting them so I don't have to worry about them limiting my 60 foots.

I don't race with the front on, and it will be nice to have them for DD.

I saw some 1" bars in Jegs for the rear and some 32mm bars for the front.

I want this to be one stiff biotch. Suggestions?

PS~ Poly bushings will be put in whenever parts are replaced.

 

The typical recommendation is a 35mm front and 21 mm rear for great handling.

There are several options as to which company to get them from. I have strano's 35mm hollow for weight savings. I still have the stock 18mm solid rear sway though. I'm looking into getting the bigger one soon.

 

I've got Strano's 35mm front bar and the stock rear bar and am very happy with it. Of course, I've also got coilovers, Global west upper A arms, adj panhard and LCAs, but when I did the Stran front bar I was still on the stock Firehawk Bilstein suspension and it made a noticeable difference.

 

Another vote for the Strano front bar. I've had 3 different bars besides the stocker and its the one I like best.

 

Another with the 35mm hollow bar front and a 21mm 1LE bar out back.

has anyone just done the rear sway bar?

to me it feels like the back has alot of roll and that the front is stiff enough.

I am thinking about a 1in rear sway bar and leaving the front alone.

I am also putting on some 275s or 285s in the back, how much will that improve the roll?

 

You really don't want to do just the rear bar. In most cases, the stock rear bar is still plenty of bar even with upgraded front bar, shocks/springs, and all the other suspension pieces. What shocks are you using? If you are still on stock shocks, I would highly recommend you upgrade your shocks before doing anything else as that will make a HUGE difference.

 

Ok so if I get new shocks what should I look for?

Should I look for adjustable shocks?
Do I have to do front and rear? or is it OK to do one end at a time?
