Rear sitting to high ??

Recently installed a ford 9" and different tire/wheel combo (17x11's w/315/35's) and I noticed the rear sits high (28"-28.250") from my garage floor to the fender well, I looked at the the spring p/n and it is #22132889 anything else I should be looking for ???

Thanks in Advance !
Bill

I think that because of the thicker axle tubes on the 9" rear it's normal for the rear to be a bit higher than stock? Also you could use the tire calculator to figure out if your new wheel/tire combo give an overall bigger diameter than stock.

When my mechanic installed my 12-bolt, it was really sitting high, but upon inspection it turns out the rear sway bar was not installed properly and was in a bind against the bottom of the diff cover. After rotating the U-bolt clamps and 'helping it' back into place, everything was fine, the sway bar cleared the back of the cover and the car dropped down 1". You've probably already checked this though but let us know what the problem was.

if the reason is becouse of the thickness of the tube you might just pull the rubber isolater out of the top of the rear spring perch and replace it with a rubber heater hose or something along those lines it will bring the rear down.

The 315/35-17 wheel tire combo has the same outside diameter as the stock Z-rated tires, so that's not contributing to the problem.

Make sure that your springs are properly seated on the insulator. I didn't properly seat mine once with the stock axle, springs and tires and had a similar problem.
