I was just wondering if a 3rd gen rear end will fit into a 4th gen. My 93 has a bit of a growl to it, and I have a junked out 86 with a good rear.

 

it should fit, but I believe it is 2 or 3 inches narrower than the 4th gen rear, so your wheels wont fit.

 

The 3rd Gen rear is 3" narrower than the 4th Gen rear (at least according to the engineering drawings on the Strange website). Other than that and the brakes, they will be identical. Being narrower, you will need bolt-on spacers for your wheels.

 

Thanks for the great info. But now that is the least of my problems. My alternator had a fight with my ac line and made a mess
