Rear end issues after installing LCA's & PHB

After installing UMI double adjustable LCA's and PHB the rear end seems to be loose and or moving around over bumps, etc. I started by taking the stock pieces off the car and adjusting the UMI pieces to the same lengths, as instructed. got everything on the car and tightened as according to instructions as well. Now, I know there should be some increased road noise but this thing really clunks and chunks like something is loose even though I've checked everything for tightness and movement a few times and everything seems tight, etc. HELP am I going crazy or is this normal?

Also, assuming that maybe the stock stuff was off somehow, I'm hoping to get some tips, tricks and or better yet some solid guidelines and info regarding how to properly align, center and adjust the rear end.

Thanks in advance to any and all that can help.

Do you have poly bushings, rod ends, or a combination of both?

Lca's are double rod ended. PHB is on car poly / rod combo.

Is the rest of the suspension stock 14 year old stuff?

For a daily driver, that a combination of parts I wouldn't have used. Rod ends are not noisy on a phb but on the LCAs they tend to be noisy.

You could always try changing just the LCAs or PHB back to stock to narrow down what change is having how much of an effect.

The car is not a DD its on a crash course diet and track prep exercise program hahaha. Yeah, I think I might end up swapping the lca's back and see what that does.

Anyone else got tips for alignment other than just measuring from 16 different places, etc.?

Start with the LCA's exactly equal in length to the stock arms. Short of having the rear thrust angle checked on an alignment machine, I doubt there are any measurements you could take with enough accuracy to insure the rear axle assembly is perfectly perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the car.

Rod-ends are noisy. Do you have the side spacers on each side of the rod-end? Did the hole in the rod-end match the diameter of the bolt?

yeah, I started with matching the new lca's to the stock ones. Side spacers are installed and I used the bolts that UMI supplied...not to say that couldnt be it but they seemed to have fit fine when I was installing them, not loose or wobbly...I've tried moving the rear by hand while the car is on stands with no luck freely suspended or loaded with a jack. I've had various people listen and attempt to watch without any clear or easily distinguisable answer....dunno...
