Rear brakes

I need new brakes on the rear of my 97 Z28. Does the calipers need to be turned in or just compressed in with a c-clamp? Will a carbon Metallic pad be good to use on the rear? Thanks.

The rear calipers will need to be pressed in with a c-clamp or similiar idea. Make sure you take the cap off the master cylinder under the hood. And those pads sound like they will work fine.

Somebody told me the rear calipers need a tool to turn in the piston on the caliper. Is that true? Or do you just compress it with a c clamp? I want to be sure before I start the job this weekend.

No turning needed. Just compress.
