Rear allignment

Hi,

I was just recently in an accident were the rear of my car bounced off a curb and i had to replace a couple of things. After it was told to me the rear was properley alligned and the axle was straight, I still seem to notice my right tire sticks out a little more than my left tire on the rear of the car. Is this how it is supposed to be or is there something wrong?

Thanks,
Chris

Re: Rear allignment

The panhard bar and it's mounting points set the position of the rear axle (left and right). The stock piece is not adjustable. It's possible that a mounting point got bent slightly throwing off your alignment. Aftermarket tubular pieces can be bought that are adjustable. The tubular piece flexes less that the stock piece under hard cornering also.

Yeah, the stock panhard should be straight too, if it is and/or was replaced the right side mounting point might have gotten tweaked (check it). If the mounting point looks OK and the tire isn't sticking out too much an adjustable bar should take care of it.
