quick question for you cage owners

quick question for you cage owners

will getting a removeable crossbar allow me to recline the seats or will the sides of the main hoop still interfere with reclining the seats?

not sure the answer to the question just wanted to point out that a removable cross bar is not nhra legal.

That would depend completely on how the specific bars were bent. I'm sure if you gave your cage builder the specs that the driver's seat had to recline to a specific position, he could put a cross-bar far enough back to allow a harness to attach, but still let the seat recline.

You're going to have to put the upright hard against the plastic side panel. Then there will be a 2.5" projection for the clevis/pin that allows you to remove the cross-bar. Looking at my Formula seats, it looks like it could be done. Not sure why you would want to do it, but that's up to you

well my girlfriend loves to roll the top down and recline the seat back and enjoy the view. wouldnt want to take that away from her you know? =)
