QA1 adjustibles

I want to buy some QA1 adjustible shocks for my '93 Z, but I do not know a whole lot about suspension. So which QA1's should I order from summit?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

Re: QA1 adjustibles

I have an online install procedure for the QA1/HAL shocks. The part numbers are included in there:

Thanks for the install instructions, very informative.
When did you put your shocks and springs on. HAL has Gen 'F' shocks now that Thunder sells as a package with springs and spanner wrench, maybe that will have the correct bolts and such for the install, but it is always nice to have your webpage to reference back to.

Thanks again,
-Justin

I did my install in 1998 or 1999. They were called "Gen F" back then... that's the part numbers, unless they have changed them. Bought them from Thunder Racing. QA1 were still using the "HAL" name back then.

Yep they still call them Generations F and the part #'s are good #'s. I noticed they don't use HAL to much anymore, wonder why?

If you go to their website (which unfortunately consists of nothing but a main page and catalog downloads), it has a logo for "HAL Shocks" and another for "Carrera Shocks", and both of the logos have "A QA1 Company" on them. But where my shocks have a big "HAL" sticker on them, the newer ones have a large "QA1".

Yea I noticed that, a company I deal with is a QA1 dealer, all the catalogs say Hal and Carrera but they are a QA1 company. The Carrera shocks still carry the Carrera name. As far as I know QA1 bought HAL out a few years ago and slowly changed the name?
