Proportioning Valve differences v6 to v8?

Hey guys

Is there a difference between the v6 and v8 proportioning valves? I went from a v6 with 2 disc 2 drums and now I have an LT1 with all 4 discs (swapped rear ends).

I also replaced all of the hard brake lines with stainless steel thanks to inlinetube.com.

So I had a basically bone dry system from the master cylinder all the way to the rubber lines. ABS might have had some fluid in it, though, as that wasn't drained.

Anyway, we went and bled the brakes and my dad said that when I loosened the bleeder screw on the rear discs that the pedal felt a lot different than it did on the front brakes. I figure it's the proportioning valve but I wasn't sure what type of difference there is. We haven't been able to bleed it all the way down yet, either, and still have a real mushy brake pedal when the car is off and on. When the car is off, if I pump it up a few times it allows me to put the pedal about halfway down each time... never firm right in the first inch of pumping. When the car is on, the brake pedal goes all the way to the floor and feels really mushy. My BRAKE and ABS Inop lights are both on but my front passenger wheel sensor isn't hooked up so I figured that's what is causing the ABS Inop.
