Problems:Upper and Lower Control Arm

Alright, I'm removing my steering knuckle on my 96 Camaro because I'm putting new springs and LS1 brakes on the car. I'm working on the driver's side now, and I can't get the upper and lower controld are ball joint to release from the steering knuckle. I got the passenger side off but it took a gear puller to get the lower joint to from loose. The upper came right off. I tried the gear puller on the upper control arm on the driver's side, but no go. And I had a ton of stress on it. I have the car ripper apart, so I really can't go anywhere. What is the best solution? Thanks a lot.

They makes pullers specifically for the ball joints; I picked up 2 different sizes at the local Habor Freight for about $6 each. Work great and seperate ball joints with minimal effort.
