problem with the brakes

well on my way home from work i passed some sprinklers and got a lil wet. When i stop my car the brakes locked up then released again while my foot was on the brake. this has almost caused a accident btw

Now this always happens when my wheels get wet so what is goin on and how do i prevent this from happening again.
Get new pads or what BTW the car is stock if that helps.

Question Are you referring to the normal operation of ABS ?

The pedal will "shudder" under your foot when the ABS is operating.

If you are saying that they actually fully released while you had your foot on the pedal then reapplied then let this serve as a bump 'cuz I dunno !
