Press brakes down "brake" light comes on?

I start driving my car brakes work fine. If I dont use my brakes for a couple minutes, when I go to press the brakes again the brake goes all the way to the floor and the brake light comes on. But after this happens I pump them twice and they work fine and light goes off? Any ideas?

Fluid level???? Air in system??? Worn brakes??? If the pedal is going to the floor, there is an issue.... Possibly a worn master cylinder and its bypassing...

Fluid level is fine, no air in system. brakes are brand new rotors and pads and calipers.

The "BRAKE" light is telling you that there is uneven hydraulic pressure between the front and rear braking circuits. That could be due to any component from the master cylinder, all the way to the individual caliper pistons. If the pedal goes to the floor, it has to have air in the system, a leak, or the fluid is leaking between the front and rear pistons in the master.

Yeah, I've had that happen on some forgotten car years ago. Needed a new master cylinder.
