The Bilstein SS and WS6 LS1 cars are 1.5" lower than a stock car and Myself along with a about 10 buddies are running bilsteins with cars much lower that Pro Kits.

Please post in the correct forum. There's one for "Suspension, Chassis and Brakes". "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech" is only for engine related questions.

Moving....

They should work. They were specially valved for the SLP Eibach springs.

Blue Oval boy... What the hell are you doing looking at the suspension section on CZ28.com?

Yeah I sold it to him, gave him a hell of a deal, some ***** suckered me into buying a BMW from him....

Thats ok I will own you and Mike with my Redline Sky, LS7 swap..... lol

Mike, why would you buy something, and then ask if it will work?

Weren't the SS's and WS6's only lowered 1/2" or 3/4"? They used Eibach springs but they werent the same as the pro kit.

You are absolutely correct, the SLP Eibach springs sit higher than the Prokit springs, also the SLP/Bilstein shocks were supposedly valved for the matching SLP/Eibach springs.

The Eibach Prokit springs sit lower AND are stiffer than the SLP/Eibach springs, look up the numbers.

AND, even though there are a lot of folks using the standard Bilstein HD shocks with MANY lowered springs ie; Prokit, Eibach Sportlines, Hotchkis, if you go to the Bilstein website they state that their Bilstein HD shocks for 93-02 f-bodies were NOT designed to work with lowered springs, only for factory(read stock) springs.

After a while the Bilstein HD shocks will lose their damping abilities with lowered springs, but most folks won't even notice it due to the fact that it slowly happens...

You WILL notice a somewhat stiffer ride, and you'll think that your car is riding stiff because of the stiffer springs, but it's basically feeling that way because the Bilstein's lost of LOT of their damping.

Check with this guy, his name is Sam Strano, he's a bonafide GURU regarding handling(read cornering) excellence regarding 3rd and 4th-gen f-bodies, he will set you straight.

Sam Strano re-valved shocks are a smart way to go.. You just let him know what you have and he will fix you up real nice. Does awesome work!
