panhard install ?

panhard is gonna be in the mail here shortly. i went out and took off what i thought to be the panhard rod. my ? is, which one is the brace and which is the panhard rod?
i took off the u shaped one that goes straight across. but i have a good feeling that is the one above it that goes at an angle? so did i take off the wrong one?
instructions should be in the box, but i figured i would ask in advance.
TIA

Re: panhard install ?

technically, there are 2 pieces. upper and lower. 99.99999% of the time when people are speaking of a panhard bar/track bar/panhard rod, they are speaking of the lower piece that attaches to the rear axle on the drivers side and attaches to the frame rail mount on the passenger side. the lower is the U shaped piece, stamped steel and flexible.
when your panhard rod arrives, you'll be installing it in the place of the lower piece
