one more guy with spring ??

Ok I have been reading up on most of the replys to other's questions but don't see my answer anywhere obvious. I have a 94 z/28 and want to put on drop springs. I recently purchased a set of Eibach sportlines using someone's advice on what to get. Now I am ready to purchase new shock and struts. I called around and got told that the KYB adjustables are not cleared to work with the sportline 1.8" drop. Is this true or did I once again find a yahoo that doesn't know a strut from a door handle?

KYB's will work.
but I would go with something a bit better for sportlines, I like bilstien HDs or if your budget is a bit larger then put Koni up front.

Do you happen to know what the price difference shold be? I am looking at about $80.00 for ea. front and I think about the same for the rear. I am kinda on a tight budget its hard to hide a lot of money from the wife!!

I've ran the sportlines with bilsteins, and they were way to stiff for me. I love my KYB's, would'nt trade them for anything. Now with a different spring, it might be different, but the sportlines need a softer stroke. The bilsteins aren't adjustable either. If you look at the KYB instructions they say the shocks are only "safe" for a 1.5 inch drop, that's where your getting your "un cleared" info. But many, many people have this combo and love it. It's just another disclaimer so the company has less legal BS to deal with.
