which one?

Looking to start working on suspension bit by bit here soon. Don't have the money to do everything at once. This won't be until after I get my wheels/tires in a couple of months but I'm trying to do my research in advance.
Looking at getting either a spohn adjustable torque arm or UMI subframe connectors first I think.
Kinda leaning towards the torque arm cuz I think it will help with off the line traction more, which is my biggest problem right now. And how hard of an install is it?
Or should I be looking at starting somewhere else all together?

Personally, I thought the subframe connectors made the bigger difference for me on the street. I noticed some increased straightline traction with the torque arm, but when I am using hard street tires, the car still isn't going to hook no matter what. As for the torque arm install, it is pretty easy. The only hard part is getting the old hardware out. By soaking the old bolts with PB Blaster and letting them sit for a few hours, they came out without a hassle. Also, when installing the new torque arm, it helps to have a second pair of hands. My Spohn torque arm was pretty heavy considering its beefy design and the addition of a heavy driveshaft safety loop. It helps to have someone hold it up in place while you start all the bolts.

For "off the line traction" - at the power level in your signature - you should start with LCA's and LCA relocation brackets. There are people running 10's with the stock torque arm.

What's the best LCA's and relocation brackets out there?
I don't know much about the majority of suspension parts, but I thought LCA's were more for handling around turns and such, and I'm looking for pure straight line traction.
I know the arm won't help on street tires compared to the difference that the sfc's will make on them, but I plan on having DRs before starting this and figured the torque arm would make the biggest difference then. But then in my mind stiffer chassis = more power planted to the wheels, so the sfc's look good too.

But I could be wrong, thats why I'm here askin you guys haha. Anyway thats how I narrowed it to those 2, but if something like LCA's will help more then obviously thats the best bang for the buck, and what I should be looking at.

You'll get varied responses as there are several good, competing companies out there. I, personally, went with Spohn for my suspension needs. Good, quality parts and top notch customer service to go along with it.

The only thing that pushes your car forward on launch (or any other time for that matter) is the LCA's..... nothing else. They have to be rigid, and the bushings have to be firm. And, by dropping the axle end of the LCA with the relocation bracket, you insure that the force in the LCA will both push the car forward, and push the chassis upward, while holding the axle down.

I have all Spohn components.

Cool, thanks Injuneer. Looks like LCA's and Relocation Brackets just moved up to number 1 on the list for suspension upgrades.
