Okay so I need help in finding the better brake pad between these two...

I think I have narrowed down to two possible brake pads I will be going with. It's either going to be the Hawk HP Plus pads, or the PBR/Axxis Ultimates (a supposed one step up from the Metal Masters).

Does anyone have experience with either of these? Or any other possible pads I should consider? Also, are there any bad things I should know about ceramic pads?

Ceramic pads are harder and eat rotors faster. This is the main reason I got the metal masters over the Ultimates.

Both those pads will dust pretty well. I have known people who have ran both, but never the Ultimate on an f-body. The ultimates were on a 205 whp Civic hatch that had a lot of track time. He liked how they felt.

Stopping power is the priority, then rotor life, and last dust for me.

Greed, thanks for the info. Does anyone have any personal experience with the Hawk HP Plus?

Consider the Hawk HPS pads if your car is driven daily. Replacing pads and rotors more frequently than you should need to is really going to get old. Just IMHO.

I have looked into the HPS pads. They don't seem to fit what I am looking for. Thanks for the input though.

Still looking for more info on the HP Plus, or the Axxis Ultra's.

As stated earlier, the HPS pads aren't really what I was looking for. I'm sure they work great for the average DD, or lightly to mildly modded street car. But my Z has nearly 600 RWHP, and does a lot of high speed braking (150+MPH), so I needed something a little more potent than just the HPS pads. Thats why I went with the HP Plusses.
