No bushings on roll bars

I was doing some work on my 90' Formula and I noticed that the bushings on the roll bars are serverely deteriorating. Some have crumbled to pieces and others are crushed/cracked and comming apart. Does this pose any safety problems? I am guessing the handling of the car is compromised. What other problems are resulting from this and how fast should I get a new set of bushings? Thank you.

Re: No bushings on roll bars

They are cheap and you can probably pick them up at the Local Auto Parts store.
