new caliper

I have to get a new caliper for the front passanger side. The bleed valve broke off inside, and the easy out snapped in half.

Where is the best place to get one? I only need the outer caliper, not the valves, pistons, boots, pins, bolts, or caliper bracket. can i get it from gmpartsdirect.com?

also, if i got one from autozone, what is the difference between the higher price and lower priced one?

cheapest is probably autozone or advance. they have them in stock and you wont be charged core if you bring yours with you. it's only like 25 bucks.

I had to buy one from advanced... its a rebuilt oem or new PBR caliper... seems to do the job just fine so far...

Re: new caliper

well, there are opinions about this. i see it as i've sent them a core...so they're rebuilding one from an OEM unit and re=selling it. that's my opinion.

others say that the rebuilt's suck. i dont think so. the factory brakes suck to begin with and if you want a stock replacement the that's fine. i'd go with the lsx upgrade. for 80 bucks you could get 2 calipers. then all you'd need is pads...dont skimp out here.
