Need some help with this brake sqeak!
I changed the rotors and pads all around but the passenger side rear is the only thing that is squeaking.
I've been looking at other posts and tried to figure out what my problem is, I had my wheel off to see what some of the threads were saying but no luck.
My problem is my brake squeaks while I'm driving and some at light braking but goes away at full braking. It also make an obnoxious noise when I make a left hand turn.
I seen a great deal of information about shimming somewhere but not quite sure where they were talking about. Is it in the guide pin between the caliper and the sliding piece? I also couldn't quite make it out but shim where the two bolts to remove the caliper from the rotor? I can't see how that would help at all.
What else could the problem be, It looks like the pads are close to the rotor but now really fully touching. Is there a test I can do like spin the wheel?
It seems like theres a lot of play when I move the caliper side to side and it does make a squeak when I move it. Is that maybe the problem, too much movement between the axle and the rotor?
Again, the other 3 sides work but its just the passenger rear thats doin it.

I've had a similar problem recently, while it's still not completely gone I was able to get it down to only slightly annoying around a hard right turn. I took everything back off and spent some time cleaning everything really well and lubing up all the sliding/contact points with brake lube. You obviously wanna be very careful not to get any lube on the rotor surface or brake pad material. Just take it all back off, hose down everything with brake clean, and put it all back on taking care to clean and lube sliding points.
I too need to double check the clearance again to see if I need to get that shim. Hope this helps.

Usually "shims" for brakes are just dampers that go between the pad and the piston. Usually if they'll come with the brake pads if they're intended for use with them. The ceramics I bought for my fronts have a stainless steel shim. Sometimes they'll be more of a cloth material, but those like to disintegrate (LS1 rear brake squeak, anyone?).
Anyway, take your brakes back apart and apply a good antisqueak compound to the ring of the piston and on the "fingers" that grab the pad. Also put some on the edges of the backing plate for the pad. You can also put some lube on the sliders, but usually that's more of a cause of uneven brake wear and not noise.
Anyway, if that doesn't help, just make sure everything is tight and check to make sure your caliper isn't sticking. BTW the rotor is held to the axle flange by the wheel so unless your lug nuts aren't tight that won't be an issue.

This is a common problem when you replace the driver rear rotor and pads. There has to be some sort of solution. I really don't want to pay a shop to do my work so please if anyone has had this problem and fixed it let us know so we all can have a squeak free ride.
