Need a rollbar for my 94 Z28

I am in the 11 seconds with my stock LT1 Z28 with a ported and polished heads and a small shot of nitrous (75 hp), so I need a rollbar to be drag race legal. I don't want to cut up the interior or dash. What would be my best choice?

NHRA requires a 5-pt bar under 11.50

Wolfe makes a good one. No need to cut up the dash in any case. You only need a side bar on the driver's side, and it goes directly from the rear hoop to the driver's footwell, and has to pass the driver's arm between the shoulder and the elbow.

Thanks, the 5 point looks like the one I need. Is that the type in your Trans Am?

No... mine was custom built, using chrome moly tubing.

Another vote for Wolfe. I have one in my car now (since 2001) and have installed about 6-7 of them. They are great. Wolfe took the time (unlike many other companies) to actual make a main hoop that fits tight to the roof line of the car. Very important for multiple reasons, namely visability and safety.

If you buy a "weld in" version of the bar, MAKE SURE to get the "jig-notched" option! It will save you about half the time in labor installing it.
