Hey
just slapped on some new rotors and trying to put on some ebc green stuff pads. The rear is being a pain in the @$$. Seems the outter pad is too thick?!?? am i doing something wrong?? am i suppose to grind it down a little bit? i have the pad with the metal squealer thing on the inside part of teh caliper. any help would be great!

Been awhile since I did my rears (though they need to be done again), pretty sure the metal part is supposed to be on the inner, so you're okay there. Is the caliper piston compressed fully (open brake fluid reservoir, compress piston with C-clamp, make sure brake fluid doesn't go all over the place)? I remember having this same problem and that was the cause. Things tend to come off easier than go on!
Under no circumstances should you (nor should you have to!) grind down the pad, because there is no way to guarantee it is level!

Thanks for the help timbo.
It turned out to be the guide pins. The grease in there was so dried up, i couldn't get the caliper to come outward enough to get that outer brake pad on. everything's nice and greasy and good to roll!
