ne1 deleted ABS?

Thinking about getting the ABS module out and replacing it with an eliminator kit. Anyone done it? effects? I can lock up my brakes anyway with it in.

Yes... did it. 97ss 383ci D1 MM6 with 3 sensor anti-loc system. Removed the ABS unit. I used parts purchased from a local auto store. A brake flare kit is necessary. Proportion valve from Summitracing.com. Also, remember to ground the light green wire to disable the SES light (removed the BCECM). HTH. B.

Doing so adds an "adjustable" proportioning valve to balanced front/rear braking pressure for a more precise controlled braking since I will be doing C5 front brakes and want to increase bias to the front. Also, stronger rear ends without ABS are cheaper and maybe an option in the future.

Thanks for the reply. Was thinking about the SJM kit sold online. How much do you have in your setup?
