Madman Manual Steering Rack

I was thinking of buying this type of steering rack. Is there anyone running this rack on their car already. What would be your opinion on it.

I have it. No problems here. I had it installed in no time too. Hardest part was drilling the spindles and that wasn't rocket science.

I,m curious about that as well.
What did you drill on? These cars have sealed front wheel bearings.

The holes for the stock tie rod ends are tapered. My guess was he had to drill them out for the spherical rod end bolts to fit. I had to do the same thing on my race car when I installed the manual rack.

I thought it was something like that.
Should not be a big deal to do that. I plan on a manual rack in the future as well.

Re: Madman Manual Steering Rack

I used a 5/8" bit w/ a low-speed drill to ream out the tapered holes. I took my time, used a level and drilled them out on the car. Just make sure to take your time and lube it up well to prevent cracking.
