how can you tell (best you can by eye) if your spindels are bent or warped?

 

are they identical only reversed?
someone told me that they are slightly different

 

what I did is measured with a square how far the casting Flash on the Tie rod mount was from the Outisde of the Rotors. If I remember correctly, it should be about 3" from the outside of the rotor to the center of the Tie rod mount.
