LS1 rear brakes to build boost on the line?

I have a T76 turbocharged 388 LTx. I've only been able to pull at 1.6x 60' time due to turbo lag. When stalling the engine on the foot-brake, I can only get it to about 5" vacuum, which is nowhere near boost. However, I hear about LS1 guys being able to build boost on the line with the stock brakes. I was thinking about swapping to LS1 rear brakes since I have access to a set, but it looks as though there may not be much difference in the holding power of the two.

Anybody have any experience with this?

I just recently bought a moser rear of a guy who had it in a ls1 car. So i had to go buy the ls1 rotors of course. They are huge compared to the stock lt1 rotors, so i would think that would help you a lot. If you have access to a set of LS1 brakes do it anyway, i'm still trying to find calipers.
