Ls1 Brake Upgrade

Right now my brakes are all stock I am looking to upgrade I beleive my rotors are 12" front and rear I think can I go to a bigger rotor I want 13" in the front but can I get 13" in the rear too.I'm hearing the c5 setup is good and inexspensive can someone tell me where I can get the c5 setup and also can I do this upgrade myself...

get the LS1 backing plates for the rear, buy some c5 rear calipers, buy some c5 pads, ls1rotors and you got the rears. there's one more thing you gotta do though. the anti-squeeling shim that comes with the pads needs to be clearanced for the rotor. check out frrax.com. do a search and it'll pop up.

by the way, the stock rear c5 is the same exact thing as the ls1, just a little smaller in size.

You don't need the same sized rear rotor. Your brakes are biased to the front like they should be. ~70% of the braking is done in the front and 30% in the rear. More for FWD. Thats why the front rotors and calipers are larger.

I strongly urge you to learn about things prior to dumping your cash into modding.

Ya, the C5 set up can be done cheap...relatively speaking seeing how larger brake kits are easily over $1k and the C5 conversion can be done for under that.
