It's definitely a D.I.Y. type job, as long as you know how to wrench on a car, and the only "special" tool you should need is a coil spring compressor for the front springs.

The only PROBLEM I ran into on my car was getting the upper shock mount off the driver's side (front) shock. The steel bushing was completely seized onto the stem of the shock. My Dad is a mechanic, so I turned over that part of the job for him to deal with! In the end, it meant cutting the stem of the shock off (they were garbage anyway ... factory DeCarbons) and drilling out the remainder of the stem from the bushing! I could have just bought a new upper mount, except they're over $300!!!

Anyway, other than that minor "glitch", I encountered no other problems swapping out the old suspension for the new Strano setup (which I HIGHLY recommend ).

Good luck .
