lowering car and good replacement shocks/struts?

ok guys i need some help here. i want to lower my car about an inch (stock 95 z28 with 111,000 miles) but i am hitting the air deflector on the driveway. i was told that when i replace the shocks and struts in my car with new ones i would not hit the driveway with the airdam anymore. so first thing i want to do is buy new shocks/struts and see if that helps. so i am looking for a good brand of shocks/struts for my car or should i just but oe replacements? i dont realy drive my car to hard. so i dont think i need the best there are.
thanks
enzo

We all hit our air deflector

If you want to lower your car, I recommend DMS springs. I just got mine installed and the car looks awesome! Besides, if you ask around, DMS has some of the best springs around. And they're definitely the best Priced springs too I'm hoping to get pics of my WS6 soon

Best thing to do is talk to Sam at www.stranoparts.com He's great to talk to, and is a F-body suspension expert.

By the way, we have shocks on all 4 corners of our cars. The fronts are not struts, like in most cars. We actually have a very nice setup with shocks all the way around.

If you are hitting your air dam everytime...take it at an angle

For a 1" drop and good shocks, you might look towards Hotchkis springs and Bilstein HD shocks.

Your best bet would be to contact Sam Strano and he can get you setup perfectly for your needs, budget, etc.
