Lowered car/adjustable panhard question???
Lowered car/adjustable panhard question???
I put proline springs and a adjustable panhard on my 01 Z. I needed to move things toward the passenger side to center up the rear end. The driver side emergency brake cable is stretched tight and I am wondering if it needs to be changed with these mods?
Re: Lowered car/adjustable panhard question???
Is the cable tight with the car on it's wheels or just while jacked up with the axle hanging at full droop? If it's just with the axle hanging, I wouldn't worry about it, just be carefull when jacking the car in the future the cable doesn't get damaged. Go ahead and center the rear.
Re: Lowered car/adjustable panhard question???
You can release the tension on the cable at the pull handle. You need to remove the console. The E-Brake is a ratchet mechanism and it can be loosened. But I really don't think this is gonna be an issue.
Re: Lowered car/adjustable panhard question???
Thanks for the suggestions. I had the car's rear wheels sitting on blocks and the cable just seems to tight. Its routing also puts it close to the rear end mounting bracket for the panhard bar and I am guessing it hits when the springs compress on a bump.
