Lower control arm ?

I want to completely overhaul both lower control arms, every bushing on it. Does anyone know if GM makes a kit for it or know the part #'s? I want to stay GM to maintain a stock ride. the bushings toward the rear of the car are nothing but metal anymore.

Front or rear lower control arms?

Re: Lower control arm ?

Well, word to the wise, DO NOT USE POLYURTHANE Bushings, i replaced mine with poly bushings and they are pretty stiff and very squeaky, i am actually in the process of changing them back to rubber bushings.
I found on www.rockauto.com MOOG makes front control bushing kit which comes with (2) bushings for 22$ and you will need 2 kits so total about 44$

The part # on them is K6490 http://www.rockauto.com/ref/Moog/Detail.html?K6490.gif on rockauto.com

Has anyone on here used the MOOG replacement bushings? Im sure they are just as good as factory rubber...
Is it real hard to press in new Rubber bushings from Moog??

Re: Lower control arm ?

I have the poly lower front LCA bushings from the ES "Master Set" and they are fine... firm but not harsh, and no squeeks. Major improvement to the front end.

Re: Lower control arm ?

Alot of autocrossers are using the MOOG rubber and say that they are the way to go for the front lowers. My understanding is that it is not a fun job to install. I decided to hold off on doing mine. Another alternative is to try and find the 1LE lowers from GM that have the stiffer rubber bushings preinstalled.
