looking for streetable drag suspension,
looking for streetable drag suspension,
alright well ive taken several hundreds of pounds off my car and now i have a dilema,
i dont want to run drag wheels/skinnies because im going for a bit of a sleeper look. the problem is that with the newly lightened car, it seems like it sits too high especially in the front.
i know eibach and several other companies offer there drag spring kits ( my suspension is stock for the most part) but is there any drag kits that might drop the car down an inch or two, back to my stock ride height?
i was thinking about just having small amount cut off my stock springs and run adjustable shocks up front, would this be wise or no? anyone got any experience with this kinda thing? i really dont wanna be driving around in the 4x4 camaro haha

Hal makes a nice setup...havent heard much about the new "stocker star," but with these shocks/struts you can adjust the ride height to your liking. Just be sure to measure.

Get a set of coil-overs for front and back, and set the ride height anywhere you want it. The QA1's for the front will add the ride height adjustment to your current springs, but the rears do not, by themselves. Spohn sells a coil-over conversion for the rear, using the QA1 shocks.

I got some 6-cyl springs for the back to help with weight transfer.
I would look into some 6-cyl sway bars. If they are a bit more flexible than the V8 fare then they might help as well but still be streetable. I dont know for sure if there is any difference in them...
I know the mustang guys used to use 4 banger sway bars.

Get a set of QA1 or Strange adjustable shocks, this will allow you to change the ride hieght (sp) of car and give you the weight transfer you need.
as for the rear, never thought the rear of my car sat up too hight but might want to try and remove the spring cup (cover end of spring with hose pipe or heater hose to reduce noise).
I normally run stock rear shocks and springs with success. I am putting QA1 rears on my set up now just b/c I got a smokin deal on the 4 shocks.
only sway bar on the car should be a rear one.
